More Depth

Describe yourself (personality/attitude/passions/beliefs):

I am 64, and I'm strong in myself. I have an abiding trust in my intuition although I have been blindsided by my eagerness to fall in love too quickly. I eat as organically as possible and I want to manifest a partner that will want to cultivate a regular kissing practice.
I appreciate the Hindu stories (in parallel with RamDass) and I resonate with Buddhist teachings especially as presented by Robert Thurman.
I was exposed to serious hypocrisy among Catholic and Christian practitioners early in life; although I understand the power of faith, I know that for me discernment is the primary tool of spiritual insight.
Meditation.
Embodiment.
Plant medicine.

Describe the ideal relationship:

An ideal relationship would be founded on a strong spiritual compatibility, including a deep trust in the power of love and compassion. It would have to have a base of mutual erotic current, as the power of Eros is the strongest energy field in life. It would be sustainable; there will be a very high level of commitment to communication, well being and healing.
I hope, intend and expect to meet an extraordinary partner who wants to (and is available to) travel together extensively (think months and seasons absorbed in learning and growing in exotic cultures) in the near term.
We both wish to root down in a beautiful rural, agrarian location where we can grow fruit trees and other foods.

What type of travel do you enjoy?

I love to go visit new and very old places. I prefer to travel off the beaten path, and live among natives in their locations. Most of the travel I have done is light, with just a backpack. I have the best experiences staying in hostels and backpacker lodging. I hope to meet a partner who also loves to travel lightly, slowly and flexibly.
I like to keep a smaller carbon footprint, yet adventure far and wide.
I have traveled mostly in Central and South America. I love the Latin culture of the indigenous Andean people and would like to return there again, but having never yet seen Europe, my next big trip will be exploring some of my ancestral homelands across the Atlantic.

What types of books/authors do you enjoy and why?

I like to read biographies of musicians, probably because I'm an informal musician. (I play guitar, mandolin and banjo)
My appreciation for the genre started when I read David Crosby's Long Time Gone over 30 years ago. Since then I have read lots of works by or about many great musical inspirers. Although I do love occasional novels, I generally prefer non fiction. I appreciate deep thinkers like Derek Jensen, Daniel Pinchbeck, Vandana Shiva, Joe Dispenza and Robert Thurman, also Mark Nepo, David Whyte, Mary Oliver and all the other great poets.
Lately I'm finishing a trilogy by Kent Nerburn. A true story, it's a compelling look into the culture and lives of modern, traditional Lakota people.
