The first article is entitled Polishing the Heart, by Lyn Larkin.

Her article is about the Sufi spiritual approach that talks about the need for a spiritual practice to allow the light of the God to clear and polish your heart. and "Remembrance of the divine allows more light to shine through and be reflected in your life."

If the Buddha dated.

Charlotte Kasl who wrote the wonderful and relevant book, If the Buddha dated: A Handbook for Finding Love on a Spiritual Path, has graciously agreed to let us use some excerpts. Please have a read and go get her book. It is great.

In her introduction she says that the spiritual path is a journey of self-knowledge and may be uncomfortable at times, but it will help you make friends with all of who you are, so you will be free to welcome another person in your heart.

As you follow this path, you will find that compassion and acceptance replace fear, negative judgment, and worry. You will approach dating with curiosity, fascination, and alight heat, wanting only what is good for yourself and another person. (p.xiv).
