Prayer While Awaiting Relationship
May my heart open each day in gratitude for what is
May abundance and peace fill me
May I find joy in each person I encounter
May I lose myself in the touch of the wind,
the rush of water,
the beauty of the Earth,
and the Sun's warm brightness
May I find myself in trust, my heartbeat a song of awakening joy
May I open my arms to the unlimited Source that abounds in us,
the unsurpassed Love that surrounds us
And so may the fragrance of my heart unfurl throughout my being.
Amen.
Prayer for the Lover I Have Not Yet Met
Beloved, help me remember that the world holds you even as it holds
me
that I may live with faith in the Spirit of Life,
remembering that we are being guided,
perfected, and prepared for each other
May I embrace my longing and loneliness,
knowing that you, too,
are walking through shadows as well as sunlight
Help me to shed my high standards for myself,
my burden of fears and inadequacy,
that I may accept you completely,
without fear or judgement
Let me remember you during my chores and errands,
that I may draw closer to the humility of dailyness that encircles
each partnership
Let me think of you when I am moved by beauty or laughter or greatness,
knowing there will be an answering echo in your soul
And help me to trust that our love will someday illuminate all
our joys and sorrows,
all our struggles and achievements with grace, hope, and joy.
Amen.
